This work reflects a moment of introspection and calm. The figure, collected in itself, conveys the serenity of one who looks back with a slight smile of satisfaction.
The background, in contrast with the realistic figure, introduces the symbolic plane: the orange lines, which appear in several of my works, represent the thread of thought, the connection between what has been lived and what still endures.

From a technical point of view, the work starts from a realistic base in acrylic, on which layers in oil and pastel are superimposed, building the symbolic environment, a representation of their mind and thoughts. The contrast between the figurative precision and the energy of the free stroke invites you to stop and look beyond the surface.
